Hollywood finally eats itself: we’re now doing trailers for trailers. Still, ’s Prometheus is still looking mighty exciting
In just two days, we’ll be able to see a full trailer’s worth of footage from Ridley Scott’s  starring Michael Fassbender, Idris Elba, Charlize Theron, Guy Pearce, Rafe Spall and Noomi Rapace, but until then, here’s thirty odd seconds of Prometheus fun.

Ridley Scott - who, as the trailer reminds us, has returned to the genre he defined - talks us through these teeny clips from his next film.

One thing about the thriller genre, it’s hard to pull off a great trailer which doesn’t come across a bit generic TV movie. For every stylish, decent thriller trailer, there must be ten overwrought, unconvincing and unoriginal efforts, like this one for the Amanda Seyfried-starring, Gone.
That’s not to say the film won’t be worth a look. Seyfried plays a girl whose sister goes missing two years after Seyfried’s character was abducted, and she suspects the same culprit is responsible
